MEDIA LANDSCAPE IN COLOMBO

The newspaper market in Sri Lanka's largest city is defined by a distinct split between state-owned outlets and private media conglomerates issuing titles across both English and Sinhala languages. The government-run Associated Newspapers of Ceylon operates the English-language Daily News alongside its historic Sinhala counterpart, Dinamina.
