PROFILE: Established in 1855 and currently owned by David and Frederick Barclay, the Daily Telegraph adopts a traditionalist, centre-right political orientation. The best-selling quality press title, it consistently backs the Conservative Party in UK elections (hence the nickname Torygraph).
